Can I burn brush in the Village?

There is a burning ban in the Village of Cross Plains. The only fires that are allowed are prairie/marsh burns or recreational campfires and grills. Burning permits are required for prairie/marsh burns and can be obtained by stopping at the Village Hall.

There is a compost site on the west side of the Village Public Works building located at 1225 Bourbon Rd. Grass clippings, leaves and garden/yard waste can be put in this area. Please put empty bags in the nearby dumpster.
