Dog Licensing

State and Municipal law (Village Ordinance - Chapter 21 (PDF)) requires that all dogs five months and older be licensed with the Village each calendar year. A rabies certificate, or proof of rabies vaccination, must be presented every year at the time of licensing.

Licensing your dog is a requirement of the Village. If your pet were to stray, the tag is a valuable resource to help bring them back quickly.

Costs Per Calendar Year (same price for renewals)

  • Intact Male or Intact Female - $20.00
  • Spayed or Neutered - $15.00
  • Late Fee - $5.00*

*A late fee will be assessed for any dog licensed after April 1st. If you just moved to the Village, or have a new dog, you will have a grace period of 30 days to license your dog before the late fee is assessed.*
